By law, every vendor must have a Sales Tax Certificate from the NYS Sales Tax Department.
In New York, selling without a Sales Tax Certificate is identical to driving a car without a driver's license.
The Certificate is free and may obtained online 24/7 in about 20 minutes.
Clck here to be directed to the State's website and fill out Form DTF-17.
Print your Temporary Sales Tax Certificate and bring it with you wherever you sell.
You do not need a CPA or be a New York resident or own a business or be incorporated.
Direct your questions to them by calling 518-457-5431
Any and all tables you bring must be covered with a quality material that reaches the floor on all four sides.
Covers may be any color.
While supplies last at each of our shows, black fitted table covers are sold by Show Management for $20 each for rectangular tables or $10 each for square tables.
First-time Verndors at one of our events may use non-complying table covers providing they are reasonably attractive.
Table covers made of bedsheets or plastic are prohibited.
You are welcome to set up a canopy in your 10x10 space.
You are not requred to use a canopy.
We do not provide canopies for vendors.
For everyone's benefit, you will be prohibited from setting up a canopy if you do not comply with our public safety requirements as illustrated and described below.
When selling outdoors, wind is a factor that must be taken into consideration.
In order to protect you and everyone around you, your canopy must have a minimum of a 25 pound weighted bag or plate on each of the four corners of your tent
For shows held on grass, hammer the spikes into the ground so that your tent is firmly secured.
Place the weighted plate over the tent leg and hammer a heavy duty spike through the holes in the plate and tent leg into the ground.
For shows held on blacktop or concrete use bungee cords or rope to firmly secure your tent to the weighted plates, bags, or any other heavy object including your vehicle if possible.
Any vendor offering illegal or counterfeit or bootleg items will be immediately required to break down their display and vacate their space.
There will be no refund or credit issued to offenders.
All items offered for sale must conform to Family Values.
Additionally, misleading sales tactics are prohibited. For example, selling 'Murano' glass jewelry for $1-10 is misleading because legitimate Murano glass sells for well over $50.
Under no circumstances may signs be displayed that indicate items are being sold as "special sale" or "10-20-30-40-50, etc % off", or anything resembling "final sale or closeout sale or show sale or going out of business sale".
Items made by people in foreign countries working in sweat factories for pennies may not be sold at our shows.
