When we first began producing Shows on Long Island in 2008 we invented the name 'CRAFT & GIFT SHOWS'. At that time we were the only one using this name. Because of our success many, many individuals, groups and organizations have tried to imitate us and are now calling their events Craft & Gift Shows. Starting In 2014, in order to set us apart from the crowd and quite frankly because we have earned the right, we are changing our name to 'LONG ISLAND STREET FAIRS'.
Although we do not produce all of the Street Fairs on Long Island, we are the only organization that produces a significant number of them and we are the only one that imposes standards regarding vendor licensing, booth appearance, merchandise legitimacy, and overall compliance with family values. The
main difference between us and just about every other 'promoter' is our
insistence on renting space only to quality vendors offering quality items rather
than attempting to rent every space we possibly can.
Unlike others, we are willing to have an empty space at our events rather than allowing sub-standard merchandise or unlicensed vendors.
whenever possible we provide a 3' aisle between every vendor, making it easy for our
customers to shop on 3 sides of every vendor's booth.
Whenever possible, we have staff available to assist vendors to unload and set up in the morning and to break down at the end of the day.
All of our events are widely and extensively advertised which means that with the cooperation of the weather, all of our events are very well attended.
